Coaching &
mentoring

When entering a new role or in case of major changes within an existing role, both personal and content-related aspects need to be addressed. Our coaching and mentoring  approach focuses on content-related topics.

Coaching engagements are conducted for various reasons:

  • Outside-in view on organisation is required – sparring role
Example: to be able to conduct meetings with the other departments, the coachee needs to gain experiences of similar problems, and the way how other companies have overcome these problems, or equally important, what mistakes have they made, in order to avoid them
  • Specific skills are required to be built up within IT or supply chain
Example: the manager (coachee) requires additional knowledge on link between various supply chain components, needs project management skills, etc.

Duration of engagement

As the goal for coaching can differ a lot, amount of coaching sessions can differ a lot as well. Typically the amount of sessions will be in the range of 4 to 8 half-day sessions, with some time in between to enable the coachee to integrate the gained experience into his/her role.

Skills

Examples of previous engagements

Our coach has vast experience in IT and supply chain processes. By sharing his experience and his ability to create an overview quickly, the coach will be able to lead the coachee in the right direction, who will be able to jumpstart the processes.

  • Share outside-in view during start of SAP programs
These outside-in views vary a lot from IT-related topics (e.g. single client vs multiple client) to impacts to business processes (e.g. impact on master data)
  • Share knowledge of integrating a partner for BPO (business process outsourcing)
Discuss on the impact of integrating a BPO-partner and build a plan how to select and integrate such a partner
