Interim management

Chain-Strength supports you, when you have the need for an interim manager to:

  • fill a leadership gap in the existing organization
Examples: search for external hire is pending, pending succession planning due to training and/or maturity
  • fill a position that is required for a limited period of time
Examples: crisis management, a restructuring, or a strategic initiative

Chain-Strength provides leaders that have made 25+ years of experience with engagements within national and international IT environments and SAP-centric environments. Within the boundaries of the assignment, the leader will run the management of a department, covering all aspects, yet can also drive restructurings or other changes. Different from project consulting, direct reporting lines and people management play a large role in these type of engagements, yet the positioning of the leader can be determined jointly.

Our modern and emphatic leadership style -anchored in our business values- will make the difference. Let’s get in contact, so we can elaborate more on this key differentiator in a personal conversation.

Duration of engagement
These engagements are typically taking a few months to maximum two years on both a full time or a part-time basis.

Examples of previous engagements

  • Repositioning, resizing (up & down) and restructuring the global IT department
Both for growth and downsizing of departments, we have conducted restructurings in multiple companies, resulting in new/adjusted organisational setups, collaboration and operating models, including change management focus on the end-users of the solutions
  • Build, implement and lead a mixed sourcing strategy
To accommodate the need for global 24/7 operations and increasing project demand, near- and offshoring models have been conceptualized and implemented in international environments
  • Build and lead a planning competence center
The extension of the process framework required a new department with a focus on the demand & supply chain planning solutions; in full cooperation with the global process leads and the local IT departments, the planning competence center has conceptualized, developed and implemented while new software has been implemented, etc.
